Racing USA Nationals - 2009 - Lake Placid, NY
Ever since I can remember I’ve watched and participated in sports and especially paid close attention to the performances made in a variety of athletics the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. I have always been a competitor and active in an array of activities directly using my skills and talents. I am driven by my teammates successes and the achievements I have made throughout the years. I continually want to get better and beat my last best performance. Becoming a member of the USA National Bobsled Team has been an opportunity of a lifetime and an extraordinary adventure. I was first approached with the idea of trying out for the team my senior year in college by two Track and Field coaches. At the time I was focusing on my last collegiate season as a Track and Field athlete with particular goals in mind I was working on achieving. I denied my first try-out camp but mentioned that I would be interested after my season was complete if there were any other opportunities. Summer was passing and mid-August of 2007, I received an email and you can say I haven't looked back since. After completing the week long rookie combine testing camp I quickly developed a new passion to pursue which has changed my life.
Rider University:

ECAC Outdoor Meet 2007 - Princeton, NJ - Finals
I graduated from Rider University in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree with a Business minor. I was a member of the Div. 1 Track and Field team throughout my undergraduate studies. I was recruited by Rider based off of my track and field accomplishments at Wayne Valley High School and potential in the sport with further elite development. I began my collegiate track career as a multi-eventer eventually specializing in my strengths in the throwing events (shot put, discus and hammer). I hold the current school records at Rider for the indoor shot put, outdoor shot put, and discus (previously I also held the hammer and indoor weight records). I was a 3-time NCAA Regional Qualifier, with my senior year being 1 of 2 athletes to qualify and compete in 3 throwing events. I was also named to the all time Top 25 Athletes in the MAAC for the conference's 25 year history. At Rider I was also involved in the Communications Honor Society, DAARSTOC and an array of campus activities. I was introduced to the sport of bobsled by my track coach at the time (Rob Pasquariello) and mentor during my senior year at Rider. After Coach Pasquariello submitted my athletic resume to the USBSF (Bobsled Federation), I was given the opportunity to go to the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid for training and see where my skills, talent, hard work and strength could take me. It took some great supporters on the home front and encouraging words, but before I knew it I was off bobsledding in Fall 2007 and have continued with this journey since.
